Our advice is that for local information about a town or area try the local County Council site / Town web site or Regional Tourist Information site. We have tried to provide links to as many useful sites / pages as possible. We also recommend the National Parks web sites, English Heritage, The National Trust, The Forestry Commission, Enjoy England and Visit Wales. We have included links to those sites you may not at fist think of as being of use when looking for somewhere to visit and explore but try the M.o.D..., the Water Companies, National Grid, Nature, History and Sports sites to name but a few. Although we try not to include commercial sites there are some useful sites for walking routes and maps. We hope you find something useful here and that you will add our site to your favourites and call back on a regular basis. The Editor. |
